Could you live with erasing the hopes, dreams, expectations and aspirations of a unique individual person? Would it make any difference if you knew her, sat next to her in school, played games with her, dated her ... loved her? Ask yourselves?
I sometimes grudgingly put myself in the place of the participants in these photos. As a guard, what would I think about what I had just done as I ate dinner with my wife that evening? As a Jewish woman crouched naked on the ground waiting to die, I can hardly imagine the dread-filled spaces of my mind envisioning no tomorrow and never seeing my child grow up. How can this happen?
In the end, in each and every one of our endings, everything is stripped away and all that we have to show for ourselves is love. It's the only thing that really eternally matters. These people forgot what it means, if they ever new in the first place.

These photographs appear somewhat suspect to me. The "Nazi" soldiers look Soviet. One of the rifles is Mosin-Nagant, not Mauser. How do we know these hapless females were being "marched to their deaths"? How do we know they were Jews? Because someone who was not there at the time claims this to be fact? These photos could have been taken in say, Poland when the Soviets invaded. Where is the outcry of the sanctimonious over the rape and murder of German women and their children by the Soviets at WWII's end? I challenge all to think about this.
